Elderly, age 60–64 and disability fares are the “$2 Scheme” fares: $2 up to a $10 adult fare, 20% of the adult fare above that (since 3 April 2026); the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau border crossings are excluded. Single tickets have no student, 60–64 or disability fare.

East Rail Line First Class fare
First Class on the East Rail Line costs the standard fare plus a First Class Premium equal to the standard fare for the same East Rail journey — in effect double. Fo Tan to Lo Wu is $30.3 + $30.3 = $60.6 for an adult paying by Octopus. Tap your Octopus or contactless bank card on a First Class Processor on the platform or by the compartment door before you board; without a valid First Class ticket the surcharge is HK$1,000.
